Employment contract attestation in Qatar is the Ministry of Labour (MOL) service that authenticates a work contract between an establishment and its employee. The employer files the contract through the Establishments Portal, and the employee reviews and approves or rejects it through the Labour portal.
The service costs QR60. The employer needs an active establishment ID and a worker with an effective visa or residence. The employee needs a registered National Address and a Qatar ID (QID) phone number that matches the request.
MOL attestation confirms that the employer and employee have recorded the same contract terms in the official system. The employer enters the basic salary and bonuses, and attaches academic certificates when the profession is specialized.
The employee then sees the contract in the Labour portal in a language they can read. The employee approves or rejects the contract, and the response is recorded against the same request.
MOL attestation is not the same as Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation. MOL attests a work contract created inside Qatar. MOFA attests documents issued outside Qatar, such as a degree or a police certificate.
Every contract between an establishment subject to Qatar labour law and its employee can go through the service. The document set changes when the profession is specialized.

A contract that is still being negotiated is not ready for attestation. The employer must settle the salary, bonuses and job title before submission, because the employee is approving those terms.
The fee for attestation of a work contract inside Qatar is QR60, as listed on the Hukoomi service page. The fee does not replace the work permit, residence permit, QID or MOFA document fees.
A company representative logs in to the Establishments Portal through the National Authentication System (NAS) with the smart card. The representative selects the attestation service and enters the contract data.
The employee reviews the contract in the Labour portal, checks the salary, bonuses and role, then approves or rejects it. The employee response is a separate step from the employer submission.
Six conditions decide whether MOL can process the request. A failure on any one stops the file before the contract terms are reviewed.
